Working Together
At Launch2Learning, we work with professionals and other providers to support young people both academically and emotionally.
We aim to rebuild and strengthen wellbeing by helping them to identify their unique talents and potential, being part of a team of stepping stones offering the support and stability to allow them to thrive in their next destination.
What does this look like?
Our aim is to inspire our learners to find the confidence to make progress, through nurturing positive working relationships and building resilience to overcome barriers to learning. We offer a high level of pastoral support and really get to understand students’ individual needs.
We create bespoke learning packages so that our students learn in a way that is clear and meaningful to them, provided in our calm and environmentally consistent centres, with a small team of familiar adults.
We work with each young person to understand their unique emotional, physical, sensory, communication and social interaction needs to support them to develop positive strategies to help the at Launch2Learning and beyond. We provide structured pathways and experienced staff to help young people transition successfully back into school, further education or employment.
The Induction
We offer a bespoke induction plan, working on a gradual increased duration, number of people and complexity of activities.
We would design a plan to introduce a short, relaxed initial visit to the centre and plan to build up the time in the centre at a pace that suits the individual and is not anxiety inducing.
Launch2Learning can provide some sessions within the community or offer an initial home visit if required, to enable the young person to settle into our provision. This will result in growing confidence in a nurturing and safe environment and subsequently building attendance over time.
