Our 13-Week Intervention Cycle
A smarter approach to Alternative Provision
At Launch2Learning, we believe alternative provision should be purposeful intervention rather than an indefinite destination.
Our 13-week placement cycle reflects the increasing focus within alternative provision on purposeful intervention, reintegration and evidence-informed decision making.
Our model ensures that every placement has clear outcomes, regular review points and a defined pathway forward, guaranteeing that every young person is accessing the most appropriate provision at the right time.
It provides commissioners with confidence that resources are being used effectively while keeping the needs of the learner at the centre of every decision.
Placements remain responsive to changing needs while delivering accountability, value for money and meaningful outcomes.
A Structured Intervention with Clear Outcomes
At the start of each placement cycle, clear objectives and success measures are agreed between the commissioner, school, family, young person and the Launch2Learning Team.
These outcomes are reviewed throughout the placement to ensure provision remains focused on progress, engagement, attendance, wellbeing and longer-term educational goals.
Week 8 Review: Assessing Progress and Next Steps
At week 8, a formal review takes place to evaluate progress against agreed outcomes and determine the most appropriate pathway for the learner.
